Pre-Ceremony First Look ~ Ritz-Carlton Maui Wedding Photographer

Today we are featuring the beautiful Erica, recently married to Brian at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua Maui! The couple traveled from Raleigh, North Carolina for their intimate Maui wedding with just the two of them present.  Mike Sidney Photography was honored to be chosen by the couple to capture their big day!

Erica & Brian chose to hire us for 2-hours so that we could capture pre-ceremony photography and a first look shot along with their ceremony and romantic beach and sunset portraits after their ceremony. We love that even though there were no guests present, they still wanted to have everything covered from beginning to end to share with their family and friends back home!

After spending some time with Erica for her pre-ceremony portrait session, we headed down to meet Brian who was waiting patiently for her to arrive! We set up this shot in our favorite hallway at the Ritz-Carlton for their special first look moment.

We always keep ourselves at a discreet distance during the first look so that the couple can enjoy this intimate moment together. We are able to capture the best shots when we allow the couple to be themselves and enjoy the moment while we step back and capture the emotion.
